Terms of Service

1. Agreement and Operator

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Rokan Journey mobile application, the rokanjourney.app website, and related services provided by sassential OÜ (“Rokan Journey”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By using Rokan Journey, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

2. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity required under applicable law to agree to these Terms.

If applicable law requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian for you to use Rokan Journey, you may use the service only with that authorization.

You may not use Rokan Journey where doing so would violate applicable law.

3. What Rokan Journey Provides

Rokan Journey is a gamified behavioral support and lifestyle improvement app designed to help users reduce or stop pornography use and build healthier routines.

Features may include check-ins, daily actions, journeys, quests, crafting, progression, insights, and Fight Back activities for moments of urge.

Rokan Journey is designed as an offline-first application. Most app functionality and recovery data are stored locally on your device.

Internet access may be required for functionality including:

• initial setup and remote account creation
• linking an Apple or Google account
• cloud backup and restore
• purchases and subscription management
• restoring purchases or refreshing subscription status
• feature requests and community functionality
• limited product analytics and
• remote account and data deletion

4. Not Medical or Crisis Care

Rokan Journey is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapy service, diagnosis tool, treatment program, emergency service, or crisis intervention service.

The app provides behavioral support, reflection tools, motivation, and habit-building features for general informational and self-improvement purposes.

Rokan Journey is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, sexual-health, legal, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If pornography use, compulsive sexual behavior, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual wellbeing, or another concern is seriously affecting your life, consider contacting an appropriately qualified professional.

If you believe you may harm yourself or someone else, are in immediate danger, or are experiencing a crisis, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis support service immediately.

5. Accounts

During setup, Rokan Journey creates a remote account identity through our authentication provider.

You may use Rokan Journey without linking an Apple or Google account. In this mode, a remote anonymous account identifier is created, but the account may not be recoverable if your local session is lost, application data is removed, or you change devices.

You may connect a supported Apple or Google account to make your Rokan Journey account recoverable and use supported cloud backup and restore functionality.

You are responsible for maintaining access to and the security of any Apple or Google account connected to Rokan Journey.

You must not attempt to access another user’s account or impersonate another person.

6. Cloud Backup and Restore

Cloud backup is optional.

If you enable cloud backup, Rokan Journey may upload app data so that your progress can be restored after reinstalling the app or moving to another device.

Because backups may contain sensitive recovery information, you will be informed before cloud backup is enabled.

We cannot guarantee that every backup or restore will complete successfully, remain continuously available, or restore correctly in every circumstance.

7. Rokan Journey Plus and Subscriptions

Rokan Journey Plus is an optional paid subscription that provides access to additional features.

Monthly and annual subscription options may be offered. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and promotional offers are displayed before purchase.

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you obtained Rokan Journey. We do not directly process or store your full payment-card details.

We use RevenueCat to help validate purchases and manage subscription status and premium entitlements.

Unless otherwise stated before purchase, subscriptions automatically renew for another billing period until canceled.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play account associated with the purchase.

Deleting Rokan Journey or deleting your Rokan Journey account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

If we offer a trial, introductory price, promotional offer, or other special subscription arrangement, its material terms will be displayed before purchase.

Subscription prices may change for future billing periods in accordance with applicable store rules and applicable law. Where required, you will be notified or asked to consent before a new price takes effect.

Premium access may be cached locally for offline use. Internet access and availability of the applicable store or subscription provider may be required to purchase, restore, or refresh subscription access.

Cancellation, refund, withdrawal, and statutory reimbursement rights depend on the applicable store, circumstances, and law.

Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

8. Licence and Intellectual Property

Rokan Journey, including its software, visual design, characters, artwork, animations, text, branding, logos, and other content provided by us, is owned by or licensed to sassential OÜ and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to install and use Rokan Journey for its intended purpose.

This licence does not transfer ownership of Rokan Journey or its intellectual property to you.

Except where permitted by applicable law, you may not:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Rokan Journey or substantial parts of it;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive its source code;
• remove copyright, trademark, or other ownership notices; or
• use our branding or intellectual property in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.

Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot legally be restricted.

Open-source software included in Rokan Journey remains subject to its applicable licences.

9. Feature Requests and Community Content

Rokan Journey may allow you to submit feature requests, suggestions, votes, feedback, or other community content.

Content identified as public may become visible to other users.

Do not submit information that you want to keep private, including sensitive personal information, confidential information, passwords, identifying sexual information, or private information about another person.

You retain any intellectual property rights you have in content you submit.

By submitting content intended for display through Rokan Journey, you grant sassential OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant functionality.

Ideas, suggestions, and feedback may be used to develop or improve Rokan Journey without creating an obligation to compensate you.

We may moderate, hide, reject, or remove community content where reasonably necessary, including where it violates these Terms, applicable law, another person’s rights, or the intended purpose of the feature.

Third-party community spaces such as Discord are optional and may be subject to their own terms and policies. They are not private support channels, healthcare services, therapy services, emergency services, or crisis services.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use Rokan Journey for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
• access or attempt to access another user’s account, backup, or private information without authorization;
• interfere with the security or normal operation of the app, website, servers, authentication, storage, analytics, or payment infrastructure;
• deliberately overload, attack, exploit, scrape, or probe our systems without authorization;
• introduce malware, malicious code, automated abuse, or other harmful technology;
• bypass access controls or subscription restrictions;
• submit illegal, threatening, abusive, deceptive, privacy-invasive, or otherwise harmful community content; or
• infringe intellectual property or other rights belonging to us or another person.

Nothing in these Terms prohibits activity to the extent that it is expressly protected by applicable law.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or suspend access to online features where reasonably necessary because of:

• a serious or repeated violation of these Terms
• fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
• security risks
• legal or regulatory requirements
• risks to other users or the service or
• misuse of community features

Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice before terminating access.

We may take immediate action where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, harm, or legal violations.

Mandatory consumer rights relating to paid digital services remain unaffected.

You may stop using Rokan Journey at any time.

12. Availability, Updates, and Changes

We aim to keep Rokan Journey useful, secure, and reliable, but software and online services change over time.

We may release bug fixes, security updates, compatibility updates, design changes, balancing changes, and new functionality.

We may modify the service for valid reasons including:

• improving functionality, usability, accessibility, performance, or security;
• adapting to operating-system, device, app-store, or technical changes;
• complying with legal, regulatory, safety, or platform requirements;
• preventing fraud, misuse, exploits, or security vulnerabilities;
• adapting to changes in third-party services or infrastructure;
• replacing obsolete technology; or
• developing and improving Rokan Journey while preserving the overall nature and purpose of the service.

Such modifications will not by themselves create additional charges.

Where required by applicable law, we will inform you of material changes. If a modification materially and negatively affects an active paid digital service, you may have additional cancellation, reimbursement, or other rights under applicable law.

We may discontinue functionality that is no longer reasonably sustainable, useful, secure, technically compatible, or legally supportable, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

Rokan Journey may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, connectivity problems, provider failures, security incidents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

13. Account and Data Deletion

You can initiate deletion of your Rokan Journey account through the app:

Home > Settings > Account & Data > Delete data & account

You may also request deletion by contacting support@rokanjourney.app.

Account deletion removes personal data associated with your active Rokan Journey account, subject to limited retention where required or permitted by law.

Details about deletion and retention are provided in our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your Rokan Journey account does not cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must separately cancel the subscription through the store through which it was purchased.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use Rokan Journey, including account processing, optional cloud backups, product analytics, subscriptions, retention, and your data-protection rights.

Because of the nature of Rokan Journey, information you choose to record in the app or include in a cloud backup may be sensitive.

15. Third-Party Services and App Stores

Rokan Journey relies on third-party platforms and service providers, which may include Supabase, PostHog, Vercel, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and other infrastructure or support providers.

Some functionality therefore depends on third-party services that we do not fully control.

Your use of Apple, Google, Discord, or other third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

If you obtain Rokan Journey through the Apple App Store, your licence to use the iOS application is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless another valid licence applies.

If you obtain Rokan Journey through Google Play, your use of the Android application is also subject to applicable Google Play terms.

These Terms continue to govern your relationship with sassential OÜ and your use of the Rokan Journey service.

16. No Guaranteed Outcomes and Liability

Rokan Journey is intended to support behavior change, reflection, motivation, and healthier routines. Individual experiences differ.

We do not guarantee that using Rokan Journey will cause you to stop or reduce pornography use, prevent urges or relapses, improve a medical or psychological condition, improve relationships or sexual wellbeing, achieve a particular streak, or produce any other specific personal outcome.

Except for warranties, conformity requirements, and other rights that cannot legally be excluded, Rokan Journey is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or operating-system version, continuous availability of third-party services, or that stored or backed-up data can never be lost or corrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, sassential OÜ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of Rokan Journey, including loss of profits, business opportunities, or data, where such liability may lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot legally be restricted, death or personal injury where liability cannot legally be restricted, fraud, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.

17. Consumer Rights, Governing Law, and Complaints

If you use Rokan Journey as a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

These Terms do not waive or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of your habitual residence where those protections apply regardless of the chosen law.

Consumers may also have access to competent courts, consumer authorities, or alternative dispute-resolution bodies under applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms and Severability

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to Rokan Journey, subscriptions, third-party services, security requirements, technical developments, or applicable law.

Where a change materially affects your contractual rights or obligations, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.

Changes will not retroactively remove rights you have already acquired.

Where applicable law requires consent to a change, we will request that consent rather than relying solely on continued use.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
