1. Introduction

Rokan Journey (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Rokan Journey mobile application (“App”).

2. Account & Identification Data

2.1 Anonymous Accounts

Rokan Journey creates an anonymous account using a generated user ID. No name, profile image, age, or email is required to use the App.

2.2 Account Recovery

Users may optionally link their account to Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In for recovery purposes.
If linked, the associated email address is stored solely for account recovery and is not used for marketing.

3. User-Provided Data

We store only data voluntarily provided by users, including:

• Onboarding responses
• Daily check-ins and reflections
• Quest and challenge progress
• Mood and habit tracking
• Positive activity tracking
• Voice notes (stored securely in Supabase storage buckets)
• AI chat messages with the Rokan companion

We do not infer or collect additional personal data beyond what users explicitly submit.

4. AI Processing (OpenAI)

4.1 How AI Is Used

When using the Rokan chat feature, relevant contextual data (such as onboarding inputs, recent check-ins, quest and challenge history, mood patterns, and activity data) may be securely transmitted to OpenAI’s API to generate responses.

4.2 AI Safeguards

• AI data is processed under OpenAI’s API data protection terms.
• User data is not used to train AI models.
• AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased.

5. Data Storage & International Transfers

All user data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States (us-east).
The App does not operate offline.

For users in the European Union, international data transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in accordance with GDPR.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Users may delete their account at any time from within the App.
Upon deletion, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly deleted, including chat history and voice notes. No backups or anonymized copies are retained.

7. Analytics & Payments

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.
Apple may collect aggregated usage data under its own privacy policies.

Payments and subscriptions are processed via Apple In-App Purchases and RevenueCat. We do not access or store payment information.

8. Age Restriction

Rokan Journey is intended for users 12 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 12.

9. Health Disclaimer

Rokan Journey is a behavioral support and lifestyle improvement app.
It does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic services.
